OP TAK CZ.01.01.01/01/24_063/0006627 - Development and Optimization of an Injectable Prolonged-Release Drug Formulation for Modern Cardiac Therapy
Project objectives
The goal of the project is to develop an innovative depot injectable drug formulation intended for long-term therapy of chronic cardiovascular diseases, which will feature controlled release of the active substance to ensure a stable therapeutic effect for several weeks, thereby eliminating the need for daily administration. The project includes the design and synthesis of suitable active substance derivatives, their physicochemical characterization, formulation into a depot system, and preclinical verification of pharmacokinetic and safety parameters. The outcome will be a prototype of an injectable depot formulation with a prolonged effect, providing a new approach to the treatment of chronic circulatory system diseases.
