NAZV QL26010426 - Environmental Impact of Antiparasitic Residues from Grazing Livestock on Pasture Biodiversity

Project objectives

The project will develop new analytical approaches for monitoring environmental contamination by pharmaceuticals and provide scientifically-based recommendations for ecologically-friendly deworming of livestock. These recommendations will benefit both agricultural practices and the regulation of medicinal use, while also protecting the public interest. From the perspective of sustainable food sources, the project will enhance food chain security through the development of standardized methods for detecting residues in animal feces, which can indirectly affect soil quality, pastures, and feed. In this way, the project will support the transition to more sustainable and environmentally responsible agriculture with a smaller chemical footprint.
