Laboratory of microscopy

Laboratory of microscopy

Imaging nanoparticle structures is one of the basic techniques used in the field of research into nanoparticulate carriers of vaccines and drugs. The availability of various microscopic techniques is a prerequisite to study the fate and distribution of nanoparticles, both at the in-vitro cellular level and the whole body level. The study of the nanoparticles‘ toxic effect s is another important area where microscopic techniques are applied within our research. A cryostat to prepare of thin sections is available in our department.

Current research topics

  • Imaging and characterizing nanoparticles a nanofibers
  • Tracking labelled and unlabelled nanoparticles
  • Study the effect of nanoparticles on various models of cell cultures, especially in the field of immunotoxicology
  • Targeting nanoparticulate carriers containing contrast agents and drugs
  • Targeting nanoparticulate carriers of vaccines
  • Tracking antigens and study the effects of immunological adjuvants at the cellular level
  • Study of physical parameters of cells

Collaboration offer

We offer collaboration in the field of microscopic techniques field, not only in the research and development of modern nanoparticulate drug carriers and vaccines, but also in other areas of biological research.
